Singapore, 13 Nov 2013 – RADION International will be sending a response team to the disaster hit regions on Panay Island, Philippines.

Super Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda), among the most powerful in history, with sustained winds of more than 300km/h slammed into central Philippines on 8 Nov, cutting a path of devastation in its wake. The archipelago nation have declared a state of national calamity with more than  600,000 people displaced and death tolls are estimated to climb beyond 10,000.

A second typhoon is also expected to hit Philippines in the next 72 hours, adding to the suffering of the countless victims affected by the Typhoon Haiyan.

RADION’s response team will be working closely with local government and partners to determine immediate needs on the ground and respond accordingly with food, water and medicine.
